The Vampires Of Dartmoore

Some wonderfully spooky & jazzy German vibes from this classic 1968 album. The album title is Dracula's Horror Cabinet and if you haven't heard it already, then you're in for a real treat. Imagine catching some strange Edgar Wallace / Jess Franco film that never existed on early morning TV and you'll get an idea of the kind of trippy sounds we're talking about here.

I don't know a great deal about the album other than it appears Horst Ackermann and Heribert Thusek were the musicians and there very well may have been acid in consumption judging by the overall wackiness of the project. My favourite track is "Hello Mr Hichcock"; a jaunty little number with a twist. Wonderful!

By the way, does anyone have the more recent 14 track version @ 320..?

1 - The Torture Chamber of Dr Sex
2 - Crime and Horror
3 - The Fire Dragon of Hong Kong
4 - Murder in the Ohio Express
5 - Dance of the Vampires
6 - Hello Mr Hitchcock
7 - The Executioners of Dartmoor
8 - Killer's End
9 - The Soaked Body
10 - A Handfull of Nitro
11 - Dr Caligari's Creeps Cabinet
12 - Frankenstein Greets Alpha 7
