Phantasm - The Pinball Game
Some films just seem to work out well as videogames while others really struggle to make the transition. One title that would have been an ideal conversion back in the day has finally received the homebrew treatment. Really now - the silver sphere + Phantasm? Why didn't anyone think of this earlier..?
Anyway, it's a terrific conversion, featuring lots of samples and characters from the original film and plays like a treat!

Change is gonna come...
As anyone out there reading will be aware, I haven't uploaded anything on this blog since the death of Megaupload. This situation isn't go to change anytime soon since who knows which service provider is next? To be honest, I don't have a lot more to offer in the way of tunes either...
So, I'm thinking to shifting the focus away from soundtracks and more along the lines of cult DVD and VHS reviews. I'm still a soundtrack junkie and need to update my request list but thank you to any readers who dropped me a line and offered a soundtrack or two.
Back with a new look soon...

Megaupload = Kaput!

Damn, not a great way to start the new year... just like everyone else, this has taken me by surprise. Megaupload was the last of the original great filesharing servers; never had any complaints from me...
Look out for more restrictions to hit the 'net soon - big brother wants to keep his beady eyes all over you...
Anyone recommended any other sites..?

Red Light Movies - Nico Fidenco

A kind soul has uploaded the Nico Fidenco rarity 'Red Light Movies' onto Youtube & I've taken the liberty of downloading the tracks, tagging & converting them to mp3 at the highest possible settings and then compiling them as they originally appeared on this rare & long out of print LP.
(Original Youtube Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o48r9M3MM2o )
The original LP featured a compilation of themes from the trio of obscure Italo sexy comedies Benevenuto Sesso, Labbra Bagnate & Le Ereditere Superporno. The album is mostly Fidenco compositions, however the Benevenuto Sesso tracks were actually composed by While you could easily be mistaken for expecting hip-grinding synths & wacka-wacka fuzz guitars, it's actually nothing of the sort. It's a far more restrained collection in tone than you might expect; it's almost "respectful" at times... A welcome release nonetheless - feel the love!
More details about the original LP can be had over here:
